As described by Applied Behavior Analysis International…

“Behavior analysis is a natural-science approach to understanding the behavior of individuals.

That is, behavior analysts study how biological, pharmacological, and experiential factors influence the behavior of humans and nonhuman-animals. Recognizing that behavior is something that individuals do, behavior analysts place special emphasis on studying factors that reliably influence the behavior of individuals; an emphasis that works well when the goal is to acquire adaptive behavior or ameliorate problem behavior. The science of behavior analysis has made discoveries that have proven useful in addressing socially important behavior such as drug taking, healthy eating, workplace safety, education, and the treatment of pervasive developmental disabilities (e.g., autism).”

First, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst will come to your home for a two hour assessment. This assessment will satisfy insurance requirements as well as give us the foundation to begin putting together programs for your child. Remember programs are always changing and evolve with your child’s individual needs.

Once programs are put together your therapist will come to your home and begin therapy sessions.

  • Upon arrival the therapist will set up a suitable working space.
  • This should take no more then 5 minutes.
  • Next the therapist will implement all programs possible. The therapist will collect data on each trial of the programs.
  • The final 10 minutes of the session will be used by the therapist to complete paperwork and graph data from the session.
  • Periodically your BCBA will return to review and modify programs based on the data. Frequency of BCBA visits is dependent on insurance coverage.
